Summer Tryouts

Try-outs for these 2026 High School Summer teams occur in the 2025 Fall.  Instead of a 1-day tryout, we like to work with players for over 2 months and seeing how they respond to coaching, adjustments they make, and get a better idea on character.  If you would like to potentially make one of next year's teams please sign up for the next Fall program!

Lightning 18U

LIGHTNING 18U TEAM:

* Professional Lightning staff coaching at all practices, workouts, games (minimum of 2 coaches)
* 7-8 tournaments
* 4-5 DH’s throughout Summer
* Outdoor practices after HS season ends (2-3x per week, 2-3 hours +/- per practice)
* Practice field rentals
* DH field rentals
* Umpires for DH’s
* Multiple VERY COOL uniforms and hats
* Professional bag
* Travel costs for coaches (be it flights, hotel, vans, meals)
* Insurance (great insurance, albeit secondary to family insurance, so should be zero out of pocket expense to families)
* Baseball equipment for team (throwing nets, weighted balls for hitting, baseballs, bags, etc.)
* GameChanger subscription (so games can be followed on-line)
* Supplies (lineup cards, card stock, disinfectant, etc.)
* Video analysis of all video provided to staff while player working on baseball related activities
* Recruiting counsel, marketing, aide
* Use of Lightning Facility
* Discount on private lessons
