Lightning Baseball has built a reputation around developing players the right way, through professional coaching, intentional instruction, and a commitment to helping athletes become better every day. Our mission is to develop confident, disciplined, resilient baseball players who are prepared for success on and off the field.
Fall Academy includes focused instruction, position-specific coaching, mental performance training, and speed and agility work. Over 8 weeks (Sundays only), players build on the skills, baseball IQ, and mindset needed to continue growing as athletes and young men. We create an environment where players are challenged, and supported by coaches who genuinely care about their development.
Every player has a different path, and our staff is committed to helping each athlete identify their strengths, improve on weaknesses, and create a plan for continued growth. Players are coached by experienced Lightning staff who have played at the collegiate and professional levels, bringing firsthand knowledge of what it takes to succeed at every stage of the game. From preparing 14U athletes for the transition to 60/90 baseball to helping current high school players pursue collegiate opportunities, Fall Academy helps move the needle toward the next step.
2026 Fall Academy will also serve as the evaluation period for our 2027 Summer High School teams, giving players the opportunity to showcase their growth, compete alongside potential future teammates, and be considered for the next stage of the Lightning Baseball program.

SUNDAY ACADEMY INCLUDES:
- 4.5 hours of weekly Sunday training with our highly experienced Lightning coaching staff, featuring a player-to-coach ratio better than 5:1 for individualized instruction and development
- Position-specific coaching focused on building baseball IQ, helping players better understand the game and make smarter decisions on the field
- Mental sports performance coaching every Sunday to help athletes develop the mindset and confidence needed to compete
- Speed and Agility training with Pivotal Sports Performance, designed to improve athleticism, movement, and on-field performance
- Crossover Symmetry bands and additional training equipment to support player development, arm care, and performance
- High-volume, quality repetitions — for example, infielders can receive upwards of 100 reps in a single rotation, coached by instructors who have played at the collegiate and professional levels
- Active recruiting counsel and guidance from our Lightning staff to help players understand and navigate the next steps in their baseball journey
- Video analysis through The Futures App, allowing players and coaches to review work being done outside of training and continue improving
- Access to technology and equipment that helps our coaches maximize instruction and player development
- Secondary insurance coverage included with participation
- Full Lightning uniform included
- Priority access for lessons
- A private 90-minute player evaluation meeting after the fall with the Lightning staff, the individual player, and their parents to review progress, identify goals (on and off the field), and create a plan for continued growth
- 2026 Fall Academy will serve as the tryout process for our 2027 Summer High School teams, giving players the opportunity to be evaluated throughout the fall
